Apple said in October 2024 that businesses can manage how they appear to over one billion users across Apple apps, including Apple Maps, Wallet and Mail.
That is the audience Apple reports for its own apps. It is not a forecast of how often a single location is shown.

Questions Before You Connect
Do we need to connect an Apple account for this?
Not for core listings. Obenan manages core location data through its own service-account integration, without a per-location account connection. Richer brand features are different: those follow after your organization is verified in Apple Business and you authorize Obenan.
How does the advanced access actually work?
Your business verifies its own organization in Apple Business, then authorizes Obenan through Apple OAuth or shares selected brands and features using our Partner Organization ID. You choose the scope, and you can change it. No credential ever changes hands.
Is this the same as connecting Google Business Profile?
No. Google uses a customer OAuth consent flow per account. Apple core listings run through Obenan’s service-account integration. The two access models differ by design, and Obenan operates both from one operating layer.
Can Obenan publish photos, Showcases or Actions on Apple Maps?
Not today. The current scope is core location data: name, address, coordinates, categories, opening hours, phone, website, and status. Photos, Showcases and Actions sit behind Apple-side delegated access, and Apple controls whether and how they appear.
Will submitted data always appear exactly as sent?
No. Apple reviews submitted data and governs how its public place card displays it. Obenan tracks source-data changes, submission status, Apple’s publication state, and any validation errors Apple returns.
Which locations can be managed?
Locations covered by your agreement with Obenan. Commercial authorization and data governance apply to every managed record.
